Manal AlNatour, Ph.D.

Dr. AlNatour completed a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at University of Arkansas.

Her research and teaching interests include modern Arabic literature and language, cultural studies, contemporary women’s writings, feminism, and the Arab Spring. Dr. AlNatour is the Director of Arabic Studies program. She has developed and taught Arabic, FCLT, and FLIT courses at all levels at WVU, including Modern Arabic Literature, Arab Women Writers, and Arabic Cinema. Dr. AlNatour has also been a faculty associate in the Center for Women’s and Gender Studies. She has published numerous refereed works in reputable journals and edited books.
