Angel T. Tuninetti, Ph.D.
Dr. Tuninetti completed a Licenciatura en Letras Modernas at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Spanish at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Tuninetti teaches courses on Latin American literature and culture, mainly narrative of the 19th and 20th centuries, and Gaucho literature and culture. His main area of research is travel literature in South America; he has published two books on the topic: Otras intenciones, otras miradas: textos complementarios a Una excursión a los indios ranqueles, Río Cuarto, UniRio (Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto, Argentina), 2017, and Nuevas tierras con viejos ojos: Viajeros españoles y latinoamericanos en Sudamérica, siglos XVIII y XIX, Buenos Aires: Ediciones Corregidor, 2001. He has also published several articles on travel literature and Latin American narrative. He has recently served as a Fulbright Specialist on international education at the Universidad Nacional de Asunción, Paraguay.
