Kelly Marie and Carol Ann Faltis Award

The Faltis Scholarship was established by John Faltis, President of Anker Energy of Morgantown, in November 1986. The scholarship is named in honor of Mr. Faltis’s first wife, Carol Ann, and their daughter, Kelly Marie. Mr. Faltis was killed in a tragic helicopter crash in a remote area of Upshur County, WV, in October 1997.

Students applying for a Faltis Award must demonstrate

• Financial need and/or academic merit
• A major in World Languages
• A 3.0 GPA in the language of study, and a 2.8 GPA overall
