Dr. Jurgen Schlunk Memorial Award

 

The Dr. Jürgen Schlunk Memorial Fund was established in honor of Jürgen Schlunk, a former professor of German in the Department of World Languages, to support study abroad activities related to German language, culture, and history. Students applying for this award must demonstrate

• Financial need and/or merit
• A major or minor in World Languages whose studies include German
• A 3.0 GPA in German, and a 2.8 GPA overall

Grant money may be used for a WLLL-sponsored summer study abroad program in a German-speaking country, or for a semester or year-long exchange with a WVU partner university in a German-speaking country.
