Basic Brazilian Portuguese Program
PORT 101, 102, 203, 204
All classes are conducted in Portuguese.
PORT 101/PORT 102: The first courses in a four-semester series in which students will develop basic communicative skills in Brazilian Portuguese. The goal of these introductory courses is to help each student speak, read, write, and understand the language so that s/he can use it in real-world situations. Throughout the semester, students will also become familiar with the geography and diversity of the Portuguese-speaking world.

PORT 203/PORT 204: The final courses in the series in which students will continue developing communicative skills in Brazilian Portuguese. The introduction of authentic literary and cultural readings allow students to deepen their knowledge of the Lusophone world.
