Teaching Instructor of English as a Second Language – WLLL

The Department of World Languages, Literatures and Linguistics at West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Instructor in the Intensive English Program beginning August 16, 2016. Applicants must have an M.A. in TESOL, Linguistics, or equivalent; demonstrated teaching excellence; and native or near-native command of English. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position. Teaching load varies according to programmatic needs. Service to the program and department expected.
The position involves developing curricula specific to the needs of students in an IEP program, mainly in the area of generating activities and materials to aid students in skill development, e.g. reading and writing; administering and grading SPEAK, TOEFL, and Michigan tests; and preparing and conducting student orientations.
The position will begin on August 16, 2016.
