Lourdes Estrada-Lopez, Ph.D.
Dr. Lourdes Estrada obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut in 2012.
Her dissertation “Indeterminacy and Gender-Sexual Dichotomy in Hispanic Cultural Productions from the Early Twentieth Century to the Present” studies contemporary representations of the body as a gendered/sexed entity in Hispanic cultural productions (novels and films).
Her field of research is contemporary Spanish literature and cinema with an emphasis on gender and sexuality.
She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on Spanish literature and culture, and advanced language courses.
